So you're saying that a realistic view is $500.00 weekly and if I want home time I would make $250.00 weekly

A cashier at Walmart makes more than that!
Why would anyone drive a truck then? I mean if I'm staying out of home two to three weeks at a time I better be making close to $700.00 net weekly.

True that, then again it kinda get my hopes down everytime I read a sad story here. I mean like these companies are always trying to fool drivers with these types of deals, leases, and sugar coating numbers and benefits.

For example Maverick Medical Insurance is with United Healthcare and they say that with them is a benefit but tham same plan is almost the same if you get it privately.

There are risks getting out of bed in the morning. Courage, friend. We can't live in fear or what we have no control over. That's where you network, and meet others in the business, and learn the freight lane. The more you know....

Stop reading the sad stories. Chances are the whole story isn't being told anyway. Those sad stories could be an attempt to gain sympathy or to bad mouth the company in question. Either way they won't be so quick to mention their part in their own failure.

The "benefit" could be nothing more than Maverick offering new hires an easier way to sign up and pay through payroll deductions. It doesn't have be better or cheaper coverage for them to claim it to be beneficial.

As for miles, get on youtube and look up Dale Clay. He is a Maverick driver that often mentions his miles and trips.

those numbers seem pretty accurate but all companies are different.thing to do is ask other maverick drivers how many miles they're averaging weekly.I would stay away from OTR.You never know from one day to the next what your LD will be and where its going.is the glass division a dedicated account?

I run the Pacific northwest and western Canada I never wait for a reload I mean never. I work for leavitts out of oregon I am also a 8 axle maxi truck and I'm more in the 50 to.52 cpm but your going to need a few years experience before they give you keys to a heavy haul truck. Good luck to you don't hit anything.
