It's frightening that a employer will shove a stack of and 1099's to a fresh newbie to sign along with the customary inch high stack of forms going into a thick folder.

Then turns around and fails to withhold money from his drivers. That's illegal me thinks somewhere.

Yep that 55cpm is only about 46.5 on a w2
Add in lack of health insurance and workers comp and it's just gets worse.

 

Not after they pay for health care , workers comp. Oh and don't forget the taxes that your not paying 7.5% so that's 15% In taxes the drivers have to pay.
