There's a kid's toy out there called Mr. Mic, some of the guys need that instead of talkback....

Only 1500w's? My driver amp does about 1500w's by itself...RF can be a mean mutha-humper! Be surprised at some of the things it can screw with...

Payphones were funny.

I love the guys with their big radios so they can talk to a truck 50 ft in front of them...
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
The folks who run this crap, are usually the ones that have nothing to say anyway. All they do is tie up the airways so nobody else can use them. Very infantile. Probably some type of attempt to over compensate for having a tiny little wanger. . .

I wish more people would care about what they sound like on the receiving end. I'd rather run a clean 4 watt radio w/ perfect SWR and be understood, than a monster station that makes everyone turn them off. Sure I run a big radio, but only because of bad luck w/ cheap truckstop cb's, and is normally set to 1/2 pwr @ 30-40 watts PEP 10watts AVG <--- I've found that gets me out (1:1.3 swr) about as far as I can hear (what good does it do to out talk your ears?) and it keeps the radio happy.
I've spent tons of money playing with radios, amps, antennas, truck stop cb hacks, etc.. over the years. The best money I've ever spent was on a noise canceling mic, and CB shop that cleaned my signal rather than over modulate it. (I-65 IN. exit #240 <-- luv that guy!) Nothing makes me happier than hearing the compliments about my audio, or thinking I was a base station.
Hopefully any noobies that wasted their money on a new toy, amp, cheap cb shop, will learn and is only a phase they are going through... like I did, too bad it took me 10yrs! <--- sorry I'm a slow learner

Exactly. After they spend all that time, effort and money to build a massive radio they realize they have absolutely nothing to say, but they still need to justify the expense. And that is where radio rambos and agitators come from.
BTW, what exactly IS it about the average echo that makes everyone sound like some backwoods hillbilly?
Remember: You are unique, just like everyone else! -
Roger & Robot are your friend. Bust up a normal day across a major metro like nothing else. A little endless reverb to spice it the rest of the wa-a-a-a-y
A big audio GALAXY 99v2 can do it all.
