I just watched all the episodes up to date, and it wasn't all about repoing, there was a guy in a bad fix truck wouldn't start, the repo team help fix his truck, and made a deal with who he was working for to get him to haul a load or two so he could make his payments, thought that was pretty kewl.
but so far most I seen was stolen vehicles and loads or abandoned vehicles with loads, one the driver passed away and his vehicle and load was impounded.
Didnt see where the episodes I watched were set up and or faked. So far seemed pretty believable

It's a little more real than IRT. I live just north of where they film in Dayton, and the trucking companies in the show are real. My wife DVRs it for me and watches it every week. They edit it to make the stories more dramatic, but there is at least a kernel of truth to them. A couple weeks ago, they were looking for a truck and found that the driver had passed away in the sleeper; I remember when that happened and it was his truck, but it was edited to make it more of a "story.". You can tell when they're pulling a story together when they show them driving and there's a foot of snow on the ground, but later the "same day" there is none. Also, I've noticed them showing someone getting off at an exit headed to a truck stop supposedly, but there's not a truckstop within 20 miles of that exit.
bergy and Wooly Rhino Thank this. -
You always know its fake when in one scene the white freightliner and in the next its a white international but they get away with it cause 90% of people don't even pay attention to stuff like that.
I miss Swamp Loggers that was my favorite, from what I could tell it wasn't all hyped up and they seemed like truly good people.RunFlat, Tonythetruckerdude, Ford L8000 and 2 others Thank this. -
That bugs the crap out me when they do that. Completely different brand of truck
Wooly Rhino Thanks this. -
I would never watch it. Neither would 99% of America. Most truck drivers are boring. It's true. The only time they'll do "real trucking tv" is when they find a couple of derelicts who happened to find themselves trucking. And if they're looking for that, look no further than TTR in a lot of cases......Joetro and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this.

Boring? I sing, I dance. I tell jokes that will make you pee your pants.
Welcome back my friend to the show that never ends.

This show is one of the worst representations of the trucking industry and fuels the "dumb, uneducated truck driver" image the general public tends to have about us.
Tonythetruckerdude and joseph1135 Thank this. -
I am waiting for a show where they go after bad brokers

I saw a few episodes with my bf,one of them was where they found a driver tied up in the sleeper he was there a few days and someone stole the trailer . Needless to say it gave him something ridiculous to worry about for when I start driving

I don't think you'll have to worry about that unless you plan on going on a ridiculous over dramatic show such as that
