Sad such incidents occur. Everywhere I've ever been, and every job I have ever had, has had those who aren't happy unless they are miserable and complaining. Human nature I guess. Sounds like there are a slew of these type folks in trucking these days. Personally, I have found the problem with my own anger is that, regardless of how justified or unjustified it is, I am the one that gets hurt by it most. At some point I have to let it go, regardless, so that I can stop the ill effects it has upon me. Also, after letting go of the anger (as best I can at the moment), I'm able to see the situation more rationally and figure our a proper way to respond (not react) to the situation. Stewing in my own anger about something is kind of like sitting in a bucket of #####. Once I stop stewing I can usually figure out how to get out of it. I think I'd pretty much done the same thing as the OP, I'm not sure I would have bothered to call his company, although that was probably the right thing to do. I think I would have just left him alone to his own Karma. All that anger festering inside him is hurting him more than others. I'd have picked myself up, taken a deep breath to calm down, gone back and got me another cup of coffee and be grateful I wasn't living in that guys skin and look around for something to enjoy, like a pretty sky or good cup of coffee.
biggest jerk so far!

I've seen to many posts about using a tire thumper or mace. What ever happened to putting a boot up somebody's ### ain't that supposed to be the american way? I wouldn't have even asked him what his problem was. I would've simply looked at him smiled and said you see my right foot I'm about to plant it across the left side of your head. Then proceeded to punch his ### square in the mouth while all the drivers got on their smart phones and took a video of a 400lb fat guy getting his ### whooped by a 110lb string bean...if he didn't sit on my first of course.
Jakaby Thanks this. -
...something about, a new way...if slapped on one cheek, turn to him the other. I hear that's the hip thing to do if you're a follower of Jesus.

Not sure what I woulda done, but I sure don't like bein touched. I'd say I'd give the guy one chance to replace my cup of coffee and if he refused, I'd make him drink it off the #### ground.... I like my coffee, no coffee abuse in my presence!!! Lmao

Hey OP you did the right thing so rep points for you. Im sure that fat ####### has a heart attack waiting for him anyways. As a company driver, what you did was defiantely the best choice. I never ever go out of my way to talk to any driver at a truck stop and I keel to myself. I wont be a rude a hole and of course ill sah hello if someone initiates or has a question about my company but sadly there are too many of the fat ####### types like the one the op had to deal with.

If I worked at the place he is picking up at, I would have informed security and someone in management of his threatening nature towards the company and its employees.
