Yes you can run legal there, tired as hell sure, but still legal. All you have to do is tell them you don't have hours, they don't mess with that anymore. One thing about Foodservice is they will burn your 14 everyday, so your gonna' get your 34/hr restart at home every week. As for them wanting you to go back out as soon as possible, it's like that when your new and on the extra board. After 6-8 months you'll be able to get a bid route ( like dedicated ) where you do the same routes every week, it gets a lot eaiser then. You can make more money on the extra board though. As i've said it's hard work and probly not for everybody, but they will not ask you to run illegal.

Had dinner with a Denver driver in Omaha once, he loved it. As i recall they do mostly Denny's i think. Also they have liftgates, so they just pull the pallet off with a pallet jack, take it down the liftgate, cut the plastic and the customer come's and gets it. I picked up a backhaul there before, it's a nice place, newer building. I think they just moved into that one a couple years ago. Also i think that one pays for a motel every night!

So they don't 2 wheel it in? I live in Den been thinking about going there, their always hiring like crazy! I see alot of their trucks heading south down I25 in NM coming from Den all with lift gates. They advertise 68k 3k sign on bonus on a billboard off the highway. I'm in the foodservice industry so seeing if theres something better.

I think they do some wheel-in's, but i know they have lift gates, and i rember that driver telling me about how they just take the pallets off and let the customers have at it. Im sure not all the customers are that easy though, lol. Like i said all the centers are different, but the pay is good at all of em'. Our new Trans. Superviser came from Denver shortly before i quit, when i get back i can look into it for ya' if you've got any questions.

Don't know about the sining bonus, that may vary center to center, im not gettin' one and did'nt the first time either. But the 68k sounds about right, i was on pace for about 67k this year if i'd stayed. You can make over 60k without tryin, if ya' like to work they'll love ya'.

One thing to expect at MBM, if ya' got hours they will work you. Sometimes you'll think your headin' home for a day off and they'll call wanting you to run another route. This gets old after awhile, but just remember your still gonna' need a restart every 8 days, and be home for a few hours at least between routes ( depending on how far away you live). All in all, a person can make a good living here and still at least see your family a couple times a week, something you can't say about otr.

Talked to our Trans. Manager today, still waitin' on corporate to get my DAC back WTF? I guess i should be used to it the last time i worked there it took a month to get hired on. They are super SLOOOOWWWW about the hiring process, but i thought i had all that taken care of by gettin' all the tests/ phisyical outta' the way early
. They better hurry up, if i don't get back to work soon i may need to find another job.

Thanks for the info! Yeah here in Denver it's a 3k bonus but probably if you stay for a certain amount of time. Yeah a buddy of mine said his co worker that left coremark went there and he unloads most by pallet jack. Sure you have to 2 wheel some of the time but it's foodservice biz. Definitely has it's good and bad but makes alot of money starting. Can't beat sleeping in your bed and seeing family couple times a week vs 2 weeks to 1month of OTR. Hope they get your background going so you can get going!

Thanks Radman i hope so too. Funny the most frusterating part of working there is the hireing process. I just don't know why it has to be like this when i was just there three months ago.

I'd think all it would take is someone walking to storage unit where every ex employees is filed and retrieve it. I also thought a DAC check took like 48-72hrs. Hope you hear good news soon.
KHBigR Thanks this.
