I agree, I was just stating the theory behind the regulations. As it almost always the case, the government is wrong in their theory.

 

I still don't see driverless trucks taking over anything in Western Canada in my lifetime. Might work fine out in the bald ### prairies where there's no corners or hills though.

 

Be interesting to see how their driverless trucks handle 35-40 mph wind gusts.

They already have driverless trucks. It's called the railroad. And they still have a man in the engine. That ship is never gonna sail.

 

There is lots of "driverless" trucks down here in the southwest... where it is sunny 300+ days a year with minimal weather... lol we have truly driverless taxis in Phoenix area. Passed one yesterday with 0 drivers or passengers in it...

I said all that to say, the technology will eventually be there. The hard part is going to figure out how to make money off of it.

I hear Canada will be a US state soon. Trump will straighten that mess out.
