I agree, I was just stating the theory behind the regulations. As it almost always the case, the government is wrong in their theory.

I still don't see driverless trucks taking over anything in Western Canada in my lifetime. Might work fine out in the bald ### prairies where there's no corners or hills though.

There is lots of "driverless" trucks down here in the southwest... where it is sunny 300+ days a year with minimal weather... lol we have truly driverless taxis in Phoenix area. Passed one yesterday with 0 drivers or passengers in it...
