I think my brain is broken from my years of driving, because it interpreted it differently for a couple seconds.

Poor guy can't even get some rest in the afterlife.

This Cars a local legend. I had one that looked almost just like it. Mine was an SE, with 383, and no hood scoops. I hate to see the son sell it. At least the families benefiting. It’s a wonder it didn’t get sold for very little while it sat for years. Great back story. Being so rare, and all original. I’d guess it’s worth at least $300k. $1-2 million restored. Can’t wait to see how much it sells for. Probably $400-$500k.

Adding to the mystique that the father was a cop. He would race and then disappear afterwards, kind of like a real-life “Racer X”(if you’ve watched the cartoon “Speed Racer”,you know what I’m talking about)!
In a sense the late Godfrey Qualls was moonlighting, the last you’d want is your superiors finding out you’re drag racing on the side!lol

Numbers matching, the rare equipment combination, and a mystery behind the original owner, i’d say anywhere between $600 K to about $800 K. And I wouldn’t be surprised if bidding is very brisk for this particular Challenger.
