The eternal argument around here remains whether the driver of the doubles was at fault for going slow and careful on the ice and didn't maintain control. Or whether the other truck was going too fast for the icy conditions and the "blow-by" caused the wreck in the first place.

Edited after another look: You can see the image sway to the left and it looks like he struck the tail of the Stevens trailer and spun to the right. As far left as Stevens was, it's hard to say that he encroached. However, the speed differential suggests Stevens was going too fast for conditions. No speed indicated, so it would be hard to defend the FedEx driver. He was slower, but apparently not slow enough not to lose control. You could say a hard cross wind would have spun him out in the same way.Last edited: Jan 18, 2016
