So....they want to get rid of eld’s because the government has no business knowing exactly what they do, but....they want the government to provide parking and fix issues at shippers and receivers. Ok, got it. Best of luck to them.

 

LOL... it does sound like a few folks need to wake-up and discover reality. If not for the outlaws in this industry, the public might just have a better perception of truck drivers. IMO, the ELD is one good way to get rid of a few outlaw drivers but I'm sure it won't take care of them all. The Teamsters might want to protect outlaws, but I would hope this group (BSM) isn't going down that path... are is it?

Others reported 15.

So some news outlets interviewed the organizers, and some actually did reporting.

 

Now, me personally I have been driving cross country for two years and have seen first hand the total disrespect for truck drivers nation wide but I keep doing my job regardless because that's what I agreed too. The only real issue i have is not the general public it is the shippers and receivers how they treat us as a whole some is racial while some are are just unaware of what we go through as drivers. Black Smoke Matters is a way to let them ( general public and shippers receivers) know what we as drivers go through. But to shutdown a whole interstate is a little to extreme.....

 

They're going about it the wrong way... Pissing the public off is not going to accomplish anything...

 

In fact, it's likely to make some things even worse.
