Mind expanding on that? What is a trolley brake? I probably know. Just don't use that term. This is a great conversation!

In days gone by that was a lever that either stuck out of the dashboard, or in days further past was on the right side of the steering column. A Cascadia may not even have one, and in 579 Petes it’s dash mounted and so small as to be useless for trying check for service air all the way to the back of a set of doubles without jamming a flat screwdriver in it.

I just get out and look and see what angle I’m heading as many times as need be. If it’s a really tight space like I had last week I got out of the truck about six times until I was lined up. I’m not too proud to get out and look. Been out here six years and never touched anything because I get out and look. Now backing in the other way I pretty much don’t have to anymore, but I still will do it unless I’m 100% sure. Blindside backing to be like when you were a kid and some other kids threw you in the pool and you were underwater and they spun around about 50 times and you didn’t know which way was up, down, sideways or anything else. Lol that’s what it feels like.
