That was a bit of an overreaction. I thought "insipidtoast" was spot on in his comment. (I'm not even one of the quasi-staff members.)

 

You have an installation problem with either the Qualcomm or the CB. There a million miles a part frequency wise, that leaves the dc side, which is way more likely to cause problems.
And no I don't recommend yous start mess around with the Qualcomm if your not trained and qualified.
Make sure your cb is installed correctly, and grounded properly.

 

You have the right to your opinion. I still feel that my comment was spot on.

 

CB is installed correctly... Ran for 2+ years with zero interference. Then the company upgraded ELD tablets, and the new tablets require a signal booster box that is installed in the dash directly beneath my CB.

If I shut off the ELD the interferance goes completely away. As soon as ELD powers up and gets a signal, the interferance comes back. I got with my shop guys and we moved the booster box deeper into dash to get it further away from the CB and that helped some... But still have lots of interferance.

Next thing I guess will be to see where the #### booster is getting its power.

 

The power supply is your whole issue. You need to isolate the wiring for the power better to each unit.
