You not kidding. these patrol cars needed to slow the traffic down so that by the time we got to a off ramp they would be safe to close the freeway beyond the ramp because of an accident, Cars were blowing by them so they asked us to help since we were bigger than they. Seems to me there were 3 rigs side by side on a two lane section. I know I was on the right side and saw that pickup loose patience with us. LOL We were just about to the place where they were going to use our rigs as road blocks. They were kind enough to ask us for assistance because they needed more safety where they were extracting injured from the scene. They even told us that it wouldn't take very long. I have a feeling that they had tried to stop the traffic there a couple other times and we were like the last hope.keepntruckin Thanks this.

some of your idea's are good, but changes will never happen. to much traffic, not enough road.

I've had Wa. State Patrol jump on my step and ask me to do this. Sometimes it is the only way to make 4-wheelers merge out of the closed lane. When they see the trucks blocking their "sprint" lane they give up and merge like they are supposed to.

I too have been asked to act as a roadblock. On 95 between Fredericksburg and Richmond in VA.
