That's why you use the words "appears to be pointing". Means it looked like it to you; not a false report....![]()

Well, appears to have.
Or he disposed of the gun.
It is not traced. Most 911 calls lock your phone on until you turn it off and on again. -
US THE TRUCK DRIVERS, OR YOU DUMBARSE 4 WHEELERS.....???
actually, go ahead, drive on the grass, i like watching 4 wheeler making an arse of himself.....and maybe spin out or flip over....
no positive proof...??? nothing happens at the trucking company, oh yeah, you'll have to send an email with your statement as well as all your information. trucking companies want things in writing as proof, otherwise, its nothing more than a "crank call"..... and gets everyone laughing at YOU.....which i'm doing right now....
let's see how "brave you are" when you really need to be.....otherwise, your just another dumbarse 4 wheeler we got to deal with....tech10171968 and annettecj Thank this. -
Most 4 wheelers have no clue as to how to merge properly. If you're the one coming up the ramp, you are suppose to match your speed to the speed of the traffic and 'FIND' an opening, not expect someone to make one for you. Even when driving my car, I have had cars try to force me over when they were 'merging'.
Then we have to look at the fact that 4 wheelers tend to jump into the open space in front of a semi, cutting down their safe following distance, the ones that have to pass a semi just to get to the exit 1/4 mile away, speeding up to block a rig from making a lane change they need to make, or even better the ones that ride along beside a semi for miles and taking forever to pass. I could go on, but you get the point . . . Maybe.
140 miles a day? Sometimes 7 days a week? Really? Try 500 to 700 miles a day 7 days a week for weeks on end. Dealing with idiot 4 wheelers who probably shouldn't have gotten their license in the first place doing all sorts of stupid stuff on the road, dealing with idiot dispatchers, loading docks, and everything else that truckers have to deal with.
You drive a 4x4? Does that make you feel like you deserve special treatment. Us truck drivers usually see those 4x4's in the ditch during the snow storms because of the 'I drive a 4x4 I can drive through anything' mentality. We usually call 4x4's 'Ditch Bait' cause that's where we see them down the road after they have flown by those rude truck drivers during the snow storms.
Usually not a good idea to come onto a truckers forum and start bashing us all and calling us bozo's because you don't remember the rules of the road and the stuff you learned in drivers ed. -

annettecj Thanks this. -
I probably disagree with a lot of drivers on this subject....
"locking down" the hammer lane is one thing, but doing it 5-10 miles before the merge IMO is just making it worse. just like following distances, speed for conditions Etc are greater for us big'uns, so is the time we have to go ahead and get into the right lane. WITH THAT SAID, it is STILL frustrating to have them flying by in the left lane KNOWING they are hitting a roadblock ahead. Is saving yourself 1-2 minutes THAT important??
best lane closure i have been through was (in a 4-wheeler) after hurricane Ivan here. there was a trooper at the merge point alternating lanes to go and SEVERAL before that making sure BOTH lanes were utilized down to the suggested point to merge.
BUT, thats just MY opinion, and you know what they say.....

HEY ANYONE GOT A PICTURE OF A POWER-WHEELS HUMMER I CAN POST?
In other news,,,
I call it bread & butter, or zippering. And frankly losing one lane to construction is nothing compared to merging from, what, 8-12 lanes at the GW Bridge down to 4. And I've been doing it since was 3 years old. (at least when I was a kid in my dad's car)
