That video is outdated. They did that with (more than likely) an empty trailer. Big difference in driving dynamics in driving a truck with an empty trailer vs. one with a heavy payload in the back. Plus it doesn’t take into account other factors, Such as road conditions, traffic and other variables.

Jesus take the wheel.....so fitting lol
buddyd157 Thanks this. -
Hasn’t happened to me yet ( knock on wood) but I have seen a loaded dump truck blow a steer quite a ways ahead on a 400 series highway. One giant dust cloud and rows upon rows of activating brake lights.
Once the dust cleared to where we can see again, the dump truck went from middle lane to the far left lane into the wall.
Pretty much looked like the truck in the video. Hood, etc all damaged.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
They mentioned half way though that the trailer was loaded.singlescrewshaker and almostthere Thank this.

My mistake. Still, most of the blowouts I’ve seen the tires are all but destroyed, some of which almost completely come off the rim.nredfor88 Thanks this.

A few years ago I was NB on I-57 in southern Illinoistan when I noticed a SB truck billowing smoke. Thought it was on fire at first until it got closer, that's when I noticed it had lost the entire left steer wheel and was riding on the drum. I thought "huh, don't see that every day...wheymint, where in tarnation did the wheel GO?" Sure enough it was still bouncing along headed SB in the NB lanes, thankfully the wheel made it all the way to the far right shoulder without hitting anything.
