A refer wash out can take 90 minutes. Looked like it was carrots and dirt. Filled 5 plus of the grey trash bins. Got to watch the whole thing.

First I know this post was made back in April. I am also not trying to start a fight or a font war. In my heart I totally agree with the sentiments expressed by this driver. I am sure this person handled having this pickup in front of them as most of us have done, you just sigh at stupid. However I want to point out something that I think gets lost. First there are no signs that i know of at truck washes that say trucks only. Honestly I have seen people driving pickups (F150 pickups) into a scale house. I have seen teens all over the truck driver counters at the Petro's going back to the late 80s. At one point when Jack Cardwell was alive that was a sin. Truckers are no longer respected. Now to that specific instance? Could be the person works there and can get a free wash. I seen that happen several times at the Blue Beacon in Carnsville Ga. Actually when i was active this did not bother me near as much as having to urinate so bad my teeth hurt and see some jackleg in a pickup parked in the last truck parking spot in a rest area. To be honest if you want to blame anybody it is the manager on duty for not opening up the bay to the right and let you on in. <<This is what I have seen most of the time!

I hope you understand that was tongue in cheek. However, I am with this like I am with eating at restaurants during the lunch hour. People are working and I try to show some sensitivity to their limited lunch time. It's not wrong for none CMVs to use these facilities, just (in my opinion) inappropriate in some situations!

    But here's the question.

Is the $9 for the engine wash really worth it?

I have that same sticker :p

I rotate engine washes with the tractor rainx. Normally get through a BB every two to three weeks... pending road salt in the winter.

    Money well spent :)
