Its interesting how most dealers could care less about the APUs. They'll have two units exactly the same sitting next to each other, same specs, mileage, price. One has an APU one doesn't. Same price though??...

Ain't no telling what they're thinking. When I go get the title and take the truck home tomorrow I'm gonna ask him about it.

Well, once the deal is done, all bets are off. Now it will be a big deal cuz you already bought it.

I didn't think about it until I walked their lot again with my brother and saw it and wondered. I didn't bother asking because papers were already signed. Me and my brother laughed about it and said I could've gotten a APU and tool box in the deal for maybe the $2000 he took off the asking price.

    icsheeple Thanks this.

one trick i use sometimes is i will negotiate a price but as soon as you agree on a price throw out another extra you want on the deal.

basically go over what you want on the truck this that and the other you do your back and forth negotiation on the truck and they say a price you can agree with they say "we can do that and sell you the truck for 20k" you "ok i can do 20k but i want bla bla included"

at that point there so close to making the deal there not willing to lose it over having to do one more thing small thing but you already have them down to the least they want to take on the truck prior to that rather than them building that into there negotiated price.

Yup that's what I did. I should've added more like the APU but it's all good. I'll find a good used one somewhere once I get a nice shakedown on the truck.
