lol, guess what, in a criminal or civil investigation related to a traffic accident, you don't have a sayso in what they want. It's called a subpeona. They will serve it on your cell phone company and they have to comply with it. Oh, and if you think "I won't tell them", think again, they will pull a credit report and find out.

I have a plantronics pro that I've used for 2 yrs, other than an intermittant loss of pairing with my phone, it's been great. Fights over my ear and in my ear snuggly, very rarely have issues with not being able to hear the other person. Think I paid $79.99 for it. The biggest problem is finding the correct charger for it in the truck, depending on amount of use, I can get two to two and half days out of it.

Another thing that cellphones have, GPS tracking. This can be used to show where you were at a given time. Some of these now are real accurate. You can, with most cellphones, disable the GPS tracking. However this does not disable the GPS tracking for 9-1-1. Those dispatch centers are still able to access that data. -
1 vote for Blue Parrot Expressway. Three ways to wear it and last long time. Charged mine 3 days ago and just required recharge today!

Didn't read all the pages...
But our company just sent a message. Federal fines for handheld devices (truck drivers only, of course) something like $2700 for the driver and $11,000 for the company!
My company does not allow any phone use while the vehicle is moving. But dispatch calls us whenever they want... heheheheee

Oh, and also another vote for the Blue parrot brand. I got one for my wide to use at home as well! -
In other news:
The newest product by VXi (Xpress Headset), I just got Friday.
Sadly, the Xpressway is by far their BEST product. Sometimes just cause it's new doesn't mean its BETTER.
Duh...
I was really disappointed. The new unit is an 'in-the-ear' design which has the side effect of totally cutting any other audible sounds out (which I do like to hear of course). The unit only comes with the 'over-the-ear' mount but I was able to locate an accessory kit that contains an 'over-the-head' mount. It just doesn't fit right. The over the ear falls off and the over the head jams the mic stick right into my cheek. People sound tinny and compressed when speaking...
While I think the new product has a few other bells/whistles I would only recommend someone buy it from a retail outlet you can RETURN it to, if you don't like it.
Mine's going back... -
sorry wrong thread!
