    I know OOIDA offers a temporary bobtail liability to get you to orientation, then you can convert to permanent coverage. They also offer physical damage.

    There are others that offer temporary bobtail too. I remember them being posted on here, just don't remember the names. Search temporary bobtail.

    I did just join ooida so I could Get the benefits they offer along with insurance. I received a quote from classic truck Insurance for $320 for a month for temporary insurance. But classic truck explicitly told me that I wouldn’t be able to use their ins to get plates, or cab card.

    Heck on Monday I’m gonna call ooida and see what they have to say.

    Appreciate all the help guys

    It has been a while, but I have used OOIDA's temporary bobtail before, I'm thinking it was around $100. Then you have the option to cancel or keep it for permanent coverage.

    here a year later. Does OOIDA offer bobtail insurance and physical damage to a driver with 6 months cdl experience?
