Wow,.. there is so much wrong there,.. over height,.. over weight,.. not enough trailer or truck.
There is getting the job done and being stupid about TRYING to get the job done. Thats an accident waiting to happen. I hope they make it,.. but man I cant see that working out well for them.

It wouldn't run and they pulled it on the trailer, you can barely see the chain going to the trailers DOT bumper

That's a U-Ship load if I've ever seen one.
Ruthless, Dominick253, misterG and 2 others Thank this. -
Hey ya'll! Watch this!
Bob Dobalina and Mudguppy Thank this. -
3 axle trailer could have 7K axles...21K rating. If the truck weighs in around 18K, it would be close...but possible to still be within the rated capacity.
Hard to tell if it's a 3/4 ton or a SRW 1 ton pulling it. Either way, while it'll likely struggle a bit with it, it should get the job done...even if it IS a chevy.

Look at that trailer,.. do those look like 7k wheels/tires/axles to you?
I had a 4 car Kaufman trailer with better tires and axles than what that trailer has.
I honestly cant say if its 3/4 or 1 ton either. But given the rarety of sighting single tire 1 ton Chevys,.. I'm leaning more toward 3/4 ton. Looking at the tires,.. they look more like All Terrain than load rated tires for a 1 ton.
I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 with 5.3 that I use to tow my race cars around with. Does the job very well and gets 14 MPG while doing it. I have the G60/G82 package which included the 20 in wheels. Even with just a 1/2 p/u I always made sure I had 8 ply load rated tires which are difficult to find in my size. General is one of the few that makes one.
My son's little Nissan has enough guts to hook a tow dolly and pull my Silverado if it ever broke down. I guess you could say it could get the job done. Just because its capable, doesnt mean I would ever try it.
Hurstflightwatch, Dominick253, tucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Plus this was in Effingham and if he went back to Kansas, that's a lot of hills, and he had to be over 13-6, I didn't see him anywhere today
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
But guys, he's got a semi truck fuel tank on the back- so he can fuel at the big truck fuel island.
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
I count 8 lugs on those trailer rims, so yeah, they could easily be 7K axles.
...and just because a tire is an A/T doesn't mean it doesn't have a decent load rating. The 285/75R16 BFG TA/KO's I run on my F250 carry an "E" load rating...3750# each.Last edited: Mar 27, 2016
