Ssshhhh! This is Ford country, on a quiet day you can hear all kinds of crap!
-
Remember the old commercials with the song: "Like A Rock"?? That tells you everything you need to know.

Yep, rocks don't move under their own power either.

Funny thing is whereas most of my relatives swear by GM I never owned any of their products. It's been Ford, Chrysler or imports for me.

I've learned that there's definitely a big difference in working on Chevy vs working on a Ford from a mechanical view
.... Have owned both and both are good trucks but you don't want to try to fix a ford, it's too frustratingmisterG and Dominick253 Thank this. -
I used to have a 2008 F-350 Super Duty Supercab longbed with the 6.7 Power Stroke diesel and a 6 speed manual. 4 WD with manual locking hubs. Mechanically the truck was sound except for the fact that the truck had DPF issues.

Now my experience has been just the opposite. Who's bright idea was it to bury the distributor WAY in the back of the engine so you have to stand on your head and use a special wrench (which STILL won't work without modification) just to reach the dang bolt to tighten it? Had to swap ignition modules on the wife's Suburban, and let me just say I could've done the job in half the time on ANY of my Fords.

32-34k bobtail? Add a trailer and you are sitting at 40-45k weight. Does that mean you can only haul 35-40k of product to max out at 80k? lol
Dominick253 Thanks this.
