You raise a good point. That's why I thanked your post. BUT, at the risk of sounding like I'm 'urinating in your Corn Flakes', of all the millions of commercial vehicles in North America ( semi's, doubles, triples, straights, big, small, etc etc .... ) how could one become 'most wanted' on a DOT hit list ??

Do the DOT have a forum like we do ? If so, is there a sub-forum on that site to "Post Your Worst Driver Here" thread ? .... Just like we have 'Post Your Worst Truck Companies Here'....

See what I mean ? Of all the millions of commercial vehicles, and millions more CDL holders, how exactly does one get singled out for EVERY State and Province ? If anything, you'd think they'd be a bit more careful around the guys with A/V recorders, warned or not, when laws permit.

Because I'm a Goofball .... you have me thinking .... just to cover my butt ..... if I ever get a body cam .... I'm going to print a sign to hang around my neck that says, in English, Spanish, and French : " Smile ! You're on CANDID DRIVER !"

And yes, I will ABSOLUTELY stop back and gladly let everyone know how it works out, good or bad, if I do it !

Final point. Maybe it helps your argument .... although I feel you were being a bit of a smart-### in your post .... I run VERY regional. I only ever usually cross two scales now. That's how I know the troops. The young trooper in question was new and just away from the trainer. I cross one on the way out, and the other across the road on the way back. Pretty much all at the same time every night. I don't expect any more problems in the near future. But I, personally, like the idea of dash cams and body cams in todays lawsuit crazy world. Somehow, I don't expect to be on anyone's hit list.

    One driver, no.

But that one driver could make his company one of the most targetted on the road.

What if that driver worked for swift. How awesome for the rest of us if the Banning scales started targetting swifts 17000 trucks.

Wrong, there was a federal case in New Orleans about filming police and they sided with the civilian because government official is abiding to the citizens and have laws to abide by, so they're free game to be recorded. It was a federal case. ANY government official is not required to know about being recorded and such is admissible in a court of law.
