More than 1,900 Golden West High School Students sit in the stands of the school's football stadium Friday after an anonymous caller made a bomb threat to the school. School officials evacuated classes after the call came in about 1:50 p.m. Nearly an hour later, Visalia police allowed students and teachers to return to their classes after a search of the school turned up no bomb. Sgt. Ernie Villa said police suspect the caller played a prank, inspired by a small, homemade pipe bomb ignited Thursday at Hanford High School. Nobody was hurt there and the explosion caused no major damage. After that incident, Visalia police anticipated some sort of copycat bomb threat might occur at another school, Villa said.
