Not with these two brokers. Been working with both for over 15 years. Never have had an issue. I'm not new to this industry either....

im all setup! got all the bells and whistles!lol
I dont have to print or sign any broker agreement! its all done on my puter signature and all!
the problem is when u get broker contract the spaces to fill in r so small i have o keep doing it over!
half of them ask he same stuff over and over! i have little patience for that! when i need to be driving an not answering the same redundant ?'s -
I feel like saying f-it ill send you what u need "my carrier packet" and you fill it out!!
send the pages you need signed and voila!!
WHO'S WITH ME! -
Most of the brokers I go through...No Drama....Maybe it's you....
-
I just not as complacent as others!
i do think that most brokers r out too rob you tho! but! thats the buiss were in.
But honestly dont u get a little frustrated begging for scraps everyday! when its "your equipment".... -
I know get my own loads! Go shippeer direct! tried that for six years! not as easy as it sounds.

Brokers are in it For The Money...Just like you and I are in it For The Money....
So knowing that....Do yourself a favor....
Know your Break Even Point or BEP.....
That's what you need to run and including paying yourself a salary....
Anything over that...Then becomes a Profit...Which should go back into your company and possibly a retirement account for you....
Know what a load will cost you even before you take it....
Know if you can get a load out of the area close by...Or how much Deadheading you'll have to do in order to get to the next load...
A long DH can be a bargaining point to get a higher rate....
Don't blame all the low rates on the brokers...They only work with what you tell them or not.
How many O/O's out their see a load from LA-NYC for $2500 on a 48K tarped load and think that's a "Great Rate?
That rate sucks....
That rate based on the mileage from La-NYC is 2800 approx....So $2500/2800 is $.89/m....
Also even if were $3500 it would still be too cheap for me....That's $1.25/m....
It should be at least $5600 ($2/m) for that load....And it could be higher considering tolls and your time tarping and strapping...Then untarping and unstrapping...
Don't be afraid to tell the broker what you want....If they won't pay it...Thank them and move on....Persistence not impatience will be the pay off....Last edited: Apr 6, 2012
