The issue isn't about doing life properly which I agree with you completely. But there is an old saying...."everything in moderation." The point that many are making including myself is that there are drivers who crucify other drivers for their stance on Cannabis deeming them unfit and unsafe drivers yet have no problem going home on weekends and drinking a six or twelve pack. Yes, I get it. One is legal the other substance is not. And there are many other factors that make a driver unsafe. For starters, what about the obesity rates among truck drivers? Have you seen the latest statistics? It is shocking. I wish these doctors would stop handing out medical cards like it was candy. Think about it. Trucking is more than a job. It is a lifestyle. And if we spend most of our time sitting and driving, I would expect that any sudden health incident (i.e. heart attack) would happen behind the wheel.
So, I'm curious. I don't use mj but I wonder about states where it's legal like Washington, Oregon, Colorado and California (Medicinal). If you were taking it legally, while not working, How could they fire you if it's legal? Especially in a State like California where you have to have a medical card, how is it any different than 'Prozac'? They can't fire you for taking an anti depressant. Could they legally fire you for taking MJ legally on your time? How?
While I agree that there are bigger problems than weed, gay marriage and the lack of God aren't among them. I certainly don't want to get into a discussion about gay marriage, or the importance of separating church and state. At least not in this thread I considered not replying, but I did not want my silence interpreted as a tacit agreement. So, how 'bout them (insert favorite team here)?
