I was snorting meth for at least 6 months before I ever smoked pot.

Marijuana is not a gateway drug. There are no gateway drugs. See, the thing about drugs is, they are fun, and make you feel good. So the gateway to drugs is living. For me, the gateway was teen angst.

Most people addicted to meth, cocaine, and other hard drugs didn't start with marijuana.

If there is such a thing as a 'gateway drug' it is nicotine and alcohol.

    You were a cop?

My uncle was for 30 years. He told me pot smokers rarely gave him problems.

It was the drunks that kept the jails full. He supports marijuana legalization. He felt enforcing pot laws were a waste of police resources.

Good for your uncle. Pot smokers didn't give me trouble until they stepped onto chasing another high Would you like to see my credentials where I retired as a State Trooper. Maybe some cops aren't much of cops. Wait a lot aren't. Cops generally were like volunteer rescue rangers and got it our way. All of their playgrounds were in our park.

I have never used illegal drugs in my life. However, as Lynnard Skynard sang, "I've drunk enough whiskey to float a battle ship around"! Got over that 9 years ago.

I support drug decriminalization. It is not the role of government to "legalize" drugs. I find marijuana laws the most disturbing. How can the government make a substance illegal that a guy can grow in his garden along side his tomato plants??? I do NOT support drug use. I just don't think we are a free people f the government can imprison us for drug use. No, I have never used illegal drugs. It is about the relationship between us and our government.
