    You've "tried and convicted" (people)?
    How many hats does a trooper wear?
    Accuser
    Wittness
    Prosecutor
    Judge
    Jury

    Which "other hand" would that be?
    What you "can" tell us, and what actually is doesn't seem to be the same story.
    Let's follow the logic, --- what leads to hard drugs? Marijuana.
    What led to marijuana?
    Distilled spirits.
    What led to distilled spirits?
    Beer and/or wine.
    What led to beer and/or wine?
    Soda pop.
    What led to soda pop?
    Milk.
    Can it then be said that milk is the gateway to drugs?

    BTW, after actually studying the subject, experts have determined that alcohol is the gateway drug.
    Are you claiming that marijuana users will become "meth heads"?

    Sure!
    Seein' as how you've offered that as evidence.
    But, then again, ..... how can it be determined if you were forced to retire --- or face charges for a serious offense?
    There's something for everybody to keep in mind. Cops are like "rescue rangers" playing in a trooper's "park" and get in the way.

    I drank way too much at one time. In fact, I was kinda like a chocoholic, but for booze. Never, not once in my life, have I used illegal drugs. So alcohol certainly was not a gateway to drugs for me. BTW, I have been alcohol free for nearly a decade.

    I have done a 180 on my view of illegal drugs. The war on drugs as failed, and has been a boom for the prison industrial complex. Now, I am in favor of decriminalization of drugs. Do I think drug use is a good idea?? No way!!! It is about the relationship between the citizens and our government.

    Company i worked for just randomly gave us a Urine test i dare say if that company used Hair follicle there must have been more evidence of a past/previous habit.

    Whoa there, hold it.

    One would think that your years as an LEO would have taught you that there is exception to every so-called "rule". I know this because I am an exception to many so-called "rules".

    Not everyone who smokes pot is guaranteed to go on to harder drugs. I was once a smoker myself, and not once did I ever ponder trying anything stronger.

    Why? Because the "stronger" things are lethal when overused. Marijuana on the other hand is not.

    It's perfectly legal for me to get blind drunk every night and drive the next day as long as I have no measurable alcohol contnet in my blood. I can be hung-over, sick and 20% of my best, and that's just fine. But if I go on vacation and smoke Grass two weeks before I drive, THAT, is a problem. If you're too stupid to see why THAT is the problem, then you're too stupid to participate in the conversation.

    One has relevant issues to drive ving, the other does not. This is yet another way authoritarian government has gotten people barely smart enough to breathe in and out to become ”issue voters" on a policy that was manifestly stupid the day it was adopted.
