I was a regular weed smoker for years. Never had a hangover, never had a problem working to the best of my ability the day after. Unfortunately, haven't touched it in over 3 years. I have, on the other hand touched alcohol. Feel like absolute garbage for sometimes up to 24 hours after partaking! It's legal to drive in that condition?! What a screwed up system this is. Common sense would tell me the weed should be legal before the alcohol.
I think you should be able to do what you want...However, if you are caught not paying attention behind the wheel, or are not fit to be driving, it should be an attempted manslaughter charge or something serious carrying 10 year prison sentance, regardless if you were drunk, stoned, eating a cheesburger, adjusting the stereo, whatever...
When someone loses a family member because the driver of an 80,000 pound truck was not paying attention, all the punishment won't bring their loved one home.
It was actually a reply to haven tried and convicted drivers under the influence on it etc and the disrespect my serving.
The proven medical concept was measuring marijuana in blood and it holding up in court many times over.
Of that, I have no doubt. But from where I sit that's beside the point. Federal law notwithstanding of course, I personally don't care what one does on one's own time in the safety of one's own home. What matters is whether or not they're straight when they come to work. If so, then why should I care if someone smoked a joint last week, last month, or last year?
So, in essence, you played the part(s) of arresting officer and prosecutor, --- and you prosecuted people for their alleged consumption of an herb that you know very little about, --- factually, --- and depended on information provided to you by the agency in charge of arresting criminals and/or the courts that decide guilt or innocence? Is it possible that information provided to you concerning marijuana was based upon the untruthful claims made by our government, and used as the basis for the reason to outlaw a substance which, up to that point, was not causing any problems? Actually, the problems began when the government purposely caused the problems, --- and sending otherwise law-abiding folks to jail and prison was supposed to be the problem fix. A punishment worse than the crime. Now, ..... over seventy years later, --- how's that workin' out? Kinda funny how what's seeming to work to eliminate the, so-called, problem these days is what's known as the truth, --- shall set you free. Do you ever regret sending folks to jail for marijuana related offenses? Don't be too hard on yourself. A lot of people thought they could believe what the government said about marijuana and hemp. Turns out practically all of it was bovine excrement. Meanwhile, folks served jail time for breaking a law that became a law, based on misinformation and outright lies, --- as real research and legitimate studies have proven and continue to do so. I know if I had a part in sendin' someone to jail for bogus charges, I'd have severe regrets for doin' the dirty work for a government that passes laws in their best (profitable] interest, for our safety, --- especially if they find it necessary to lie. Some people never figure that out. Your first-hand experience and confirmation might convince 'em though. I'd prefer to not, personally, call your company. How could I be sure to whom I'd be speaking? I'm thinkin' those "retired credentials and paperwork" might be a tad more convincing..... Well, .......... how do I know that you're a, .......... never mind, it's pretty obvious you are. Hmmmmmm --- I'm perplexed, ----- The way that's written, --- it's hard to understand. Were you under the influence when you typed it? Disrespect, I'd imagine, goes with the territory. Respect, on the other hand, is earned. Some folks might consider it's not worth the effort to earn, and, instead, be content with the notion that if they receive respect they'd be expected/obligated to return it, too. Like, ..... that's gonna happen ......... right? A "proven" medical "concept'? Hmmmmmm, ------- A "concept" is defined as: a thought, a notion, an idea, ---- so, what you're sayin' is proven; (to test by experience or by a standard), thoughts, notions and/or ideas? I'm surprised that a proven thought is admissible as bein' factual, in a court of law, --- and beyond a reasonable doubt. By-the-way, --- who sits in the prosecutor's chair when you're sittin' in the hot seat on the witness stand, ... testifying in your own defense durin' cross-examination? . . Help Wanted Concise Articulation not required. Uhhhhhhh, --------- That's a tough question, ..... and a good one too. I think I'll hang up and listen to TROOPER TRUCKER'S reply to that one, --- off the air.
[/QUOTE] I believe in the principal of NO VICTEM NO CRIME. If someone smokes the wacky tobaccy, there is no victim. Many stupid people think that means I condone drug use. No, I most certainly not. I want us to be a people who have a government, not the other way around.
