First they say they were at Hobby Lobby, Now the post you show they say parked at Walmart, I think someone is not telling the truth some where. So was it Hobby Lobby or Walmart

Hobby Lobby is not obligated to give you parking. Where to do your ten is part of your pre-trip planning.
You can't fool me, I know a lot of you will just take a load and go with zero trip planning. Where you end up doing your ten is a roll of the dice. When you find out that you have no place to park you come here and cry about how cruel the world is.
No places to park didn't just manifest itself in recent times, it was like that 20 years ago when I did my OTR stint.
Planning ahead will solve your problem.TROOPER to TRUCKER and iraqralph43 Thank this. -
I like @scottied67's idea.
When a vehicle get's booted, it's for such things as unpaid parking tickets, and a sticker gets placed on the windshield.
Barring that, if ot were me it would be coming off and whosoever that tries to prevent it will have hell to pay.scottied67 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
I was thinking a little snark today about boots for big trucks.
If they are going to heft that big ####### around booting big trucks all day... Im glad I don't play that game anymore frankly. A grinder big enough for that steel would be my first option. -
I dunno, think id calll my own tow, have the hook drag me to a private shop, tell the kids hope the cost of the boot comes out their pay, cuz it aint commin outta mine!
scottied67 and tlalokay Thank this. -
I had a delivery appointment within the hour- that was the whole point of parking at the Walmart instead of the Pilot or rest area over 40 miles away.
See, I did plan my trip and where I'd stop for the night. The problem was that I moved over one set of parking lines and ventured into Hobby Lobby area.
There were two other tractors booted next to me and 5 or 6 on the Walmart side not booted.
My company should not have to risk their reputation with the broker or customer just because I didn't read signs where I parked.
So grinding the boot off, having the tractor-trailer towed by my own choice of tow company, or any other attempts at circumventing the boots [one on each wheel], would have led to a delay in delivery.
In other threads people wonder how it is that some companies, especially smaller ones like the one I work for, pay so low compared to others- it's because some companies get a reputation for being late or cancelling loads and then brokers only give them impossible time frame loads or low-paying ones after that [or both].
Please keep in mind that at no point in time did I "cry" or "complain" about what happened. I made a mistake and I paid for it. Just a public service announcement for my fellow drivers... -
Albert 1 my bad didn't read that part.. I was wrong then on last post of mine...
