If you asking for where to pin the pump... No. Look in front of linkage about 8" to a foot it's the one you will need a 9/16" socket.

The pin hole is on the cast iron b&p section, not the rear aluminum gov. hsg. if that helps.

Below that rectangular plate on the side and a bit toward the front. You'll know you got the right one after you thread it out a few turns there's an o-ring seal you can see under the bolt head.

If pump pin falls in the hole after flywheel bolted at #1TDC you are static timed correct on a B. Unless there are smog timed Bs that I don't know about. I'm far from an expert.

The retarded Cs are what you wanna set to 17.5.

Be sure you are #1TDC and not #6TDC. Flywheel will accept bolt for either.

Too bad the fellas posting earlier aren't still on here: some real knowledge there.

Maybe @SmokinCAT has newer thoughts on a good windmill for you; he's pretty on point on mechanical cats.

I would, but the post he quoted was my original suggestion, which he seems to think is incorrect without further support.

Nope I don't know. I am asking others whom I've talked with more.

I bought an 86 7fb ATA had an E model turbo with actuator blocked off. I rebuilt engine due to wrist pic coming out. In the rebuilding process we seen E model turbo was pushing oil, so we put small stock back on. In doing so my egt temp has came up some. And I feel it's not pulling as strong. I'm looking for some direction.

    Ruthless Thanks this.
