The 171702 dropped my egts 150 degrees just by switching turbos .
No tune.
The stock garrett is just marginal on the 550 stock
Having said that, it would probley work real well on a rebel tuned 12.7.being smaller displacement engine.
Borg Warner turbo upgrade ??

I have my original factory garrett that came on my 14l ddec4 550hp for sale if any one interested.
Like I said . Would work real nice on a tuned 12.7.
It's brand new, engine had 2000 miles on it when I upgraded.
Make me an offer! -
When I got my 2013 FL glider with a 12.7 500 factory rebuild in it, before it even left the dealer, it got a BW 171702, a Bully Dog ceramic exhaust manifold, and a PTP turbo blanket on the turbo. 438,000 miles later, and I am quite satisfied with it. Yes, it does need above 1300 before it really comes to life, but I am not doing local P&D stuff with it. It does a stellar job in the typical 1400-1500 RPM range I operate in.

Picked up my 1996 w900 from Detroit on Friday pm. Orig stock 430. Complete inframe bc I didn't have any history on the motor. That's what they put back into it for a tune: I bought it a few months back with a Pittsburgh Power 600 horse ecm that was gutless.
I had the 5915 injectors installed, will be getting the proper turbo to go along with the proper tune to match my other w900 that Rebel127 did.
I never really paid attention to my fuel mileage much in the past: past couple months I kept records. Lowest was 6.92 last week tank to tank. Consistently over 7mpg short haul, os, NYC traffic.snowman_w900, SAR, bigguns and 1 other person Thank this.
