I just purchased a 07 pete 386 that has a wide ride low ride bostrom seat. is there any way to get the seat to go higher like a normal height of the stock seats. can the base of it be raised somehow.

Huh..? Someone that has a Pete that doesn't want to sit on the floor looking cool

Sorry, I don't think there will be any way to do this without replacing the base. Maybe you can find someone that has a comprable normal ride height seat that would be willing to swap with you. -
There should be four bolts that hold the seat to the floor. You should be able to unbolt them and put a spacer underneath to lift it up. How nice it looks depends on how much time/money you want to spend.

If you find yourself another seat, I'd be interested in buying that low rider off ya. Been lookin everywhere for just a base so my seats can match. Also, check ebay. They have (had) a guy selling seat relocaters, they were made out of polished alum and looked real sharp. Cant remember a price though. Hope this helps ya.

You can buy a plate from bostrum that goes between the seat and the floor to get the extra height you want

thanks for all the info I was able to get another base plate to put the seat back to normal height.. and yeah I don't think I would look very good going low ride style when I couldn't even see over the dash.. not my style..

If you still have the base of the seat and would like to sell it or trade base please let me now
