both hands on the wheel and road testing?

    10 and 2 will get you hurt if the truck has an airbag.

    They don't even have a 10-2 requirement here and didn't deduct any points for my steering. I knew to have two hands on the wheel except for shifts, ignored the double clutching, and steered like I always do. Depends on the tester.

    You have to make the instructor/trainer/examiner happy so do it however they ask you to do it. Don't worry if their way is not like anyone or everyone else's method. It's like a wife/girlfriend. You never convince them to let you do what you want to do by telling her the other wives/girfriends do it this other way. You have to make the one you are with happy and if that means you pretend you always touch your nose before making a left turn then you pretend you always touch your nose before a left turn. Once you are in your own truck you have more options, although it's best to make your habit what you would do if the authority you fear most were always watching.

    It's common for drivers to clutch on road tests and never in real life. Just do it.
