This is just F...ing crazy.. and it ain't over yet still 6 more hours on the auction
There's no title ..there's no interior at all... and transmission is locked up and it's been sitting 5 years and the rails look to be in rough shape from the picture..
I mentioned to @Oxbow a while back I questioned if it was much over 7500 or 8000..I 'am glad I didn't waste his time to go look it over for me

For probably $6500, I can fix an air leak and drive a flat dash home, still in full originality as it was built, and clean , solid, and smooth frame rails….pete781693, Feedman and Last Call Thank this. -
The lost title makes it worth no more than $2500 to 3000. Unless the buyer has a way of easily getting a title or they are spending stupid money for a parts truck it will be interesting. In Texas total cost to go through the lost title issue is around $2500 in state fees. That involves a visit from the Texas Rangers motor vehicle theft division officer for a numbers match inspection after you file paperwork with state. If you can’t take it to them and they have to come to you it will take longer and It already takes months sometimes. After TR inspection it could take a month to process the background check on vehicle before they issue all clear. Then maybe another month for title to show up in mail. Then you have to insure it to register it. Useless to do so without it in running condition. Been there done that, and will do it again for the “rare” find. But not something that costs more than a couple grand in the first place. And not worth the hassle to “flip” it the right way.wore out, pete781693, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this.

It's a long story Ox .. but the auctioneer called me the next day after I messaged you.. I straight up asked him about the legality he tried dancing around the title issue called him out 2 or 3 more times he just kept dancing .. under exceptional circumstances you could be at legal risk just getting it home .. IDK
. But the whole deal made me nervous I also talked to the suppoused ( owner) .. come to find out.. he just ran the yard where that truck is sitting.. he was as helpful as hemorrhoidswore out, pete781693, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this. -
Exactly .. the auction company that is selling the truck is in Mo.its illegal to sell a vehicle in that state with a title unless you advertise it as a PARTS ONLY .. I did not see that in the listing .. It's a long story as I told @Oxbow.. I wanted to use it as a rolling classy but the rails are bad a d no title
. Ot does me Zero good
As you said .. that makes for expressive parts truck for surewore out, pete781693, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this.
