That's a 2x4 Amp...If your hitting it with a Galaxy 98 you probably have fried the driver stage already...With a 2x4 you should be using something like a Cobra 25 or 29 with a DK of somewhere around 1 to 2w's with no more than 6 or 7 watts of swing to keep it happy...

 

Everyone said it sounds good if I blew the driver wouldn't it sound like crap?

Too much drive will make it backward swing.

 

I agree. It won't be long till that Amp burns up. I suggest you go to a CB shop you trust and have them lower the DK output.

125 a pill and if the man lied take it back and hit em over the head with it if he's smaller than you.

 

I don't think he has a 2X4 set up looks like a straight 6 to me and so nothing to worry about as far as that goes like I said 125 a pill with no distortion, push it past that and you will sound nasty drop the key down to 1.5-2 watts and ya should be ok make sure you have fat enough wire to handle it straight off the battery with a fuse at the battery and one at the box. Wire that is too small will cause it to backwards swing too. Size of wire will depend on distance between box and battery. If ya got cheap gold coax give throw it in the trash and spend some real doe looks clean too at least ya didn't get a beater!

 

right now I only have one ground to the seat base bolt im going to put one more ground to the battery and hope it helps

so I need to turn down the power from my radio to about 150 watts?
