    Hey guys, I received some complaints that we weren't doing enough to protect DRedmon, so here is my policy:

    If DRedmon wants to come back under a new user name and protect his anonymity as the rest of our members do, he'll be treated as a regular member. But if he is on here using a public persona, he should expect the good and bad attention that comes from being a public persona.

    Members who want to ask him questions about being a driver on a T.V. show should get in touch with him on Facebook or wherever his official fan site is.

    Members who want to ask questions about Carlile or driving on ice roads should probably start a new thread on those topics, as the community has members with more experience in those areas than DRedmon.

    It's a shame that so much fuss is being made at all... We as member's are entitled to our opinions I thought, but he should be treated differently??? I made a comment about what he did on TV and I stick to it. Am I supposed to NOT comment on something because I might hurt a FAMOUS TV personalities feelings??? I have been slammed on threads because of my opinions and no one came to my defense! But I'm still here and still taking it as well as answering or helping when and who I can, I guess my skin is thicker... or maybe it's just that I realize one important thing, not everyone will agree with me nor will I agree with everyone else, but I will defend your right to your opinion, please respect mine.

    AT and all the rest of the Dave supporters: I don't see where I've tossed any more crap around than has been tossed my direction in the past. Did I cuss people out and go running off like a prairie dog, chattering from its hole and diving underground as soon as something responds? No. I stayed here, took what I had coming to me and moved on. Meanwhile, this guy calls everybody *******s and tells everyone to **** off before tucking tail. Frankly, I don't care what he has to say. He's a sellout, taking an active hand in demonstrating to the general public an awful stereotype. He shows us to be angry, dumbarsed crybabies who think everybody is out to get us. Then comes on here, where there are REAL truckers, expecting us to kiss his butt because he's on TV. When that doesn't happen, he takes his toys and runs home to Mommy. Just exactly like what he demonstrated on the show.

    Regarding comments about Swift. If you've been paying attention, you would know that if someone has a legitimate gripe, I agree with them. But if someone, AT, calls Swift's name up or blames a Swift for something he had no control over just to try to fit in, you bet I will stand up for my team and my team members.

    You are correct, I guess I missed some of the posts... By the time I came along the conversation was about the show and the people on it... My bad... Won't happen again! My apoligies to the OP.

    FWIW while the thread was hijacked (as so many are) it was not bad. In reality it has spaked a healthy dialog which has uncoverd lots of usefull information as well as disticnt opinions.

    I for one am richer in many aspects for the dialog. :biggrin_25514:
