Primos Express and Trans Texas are affiliated companies. They have separate MC #'s, tax id, etc. But they are affiliated.
Trans Texas hauled a load for Bowers Trucking a couple of months ago. They delivered the load late. The customer back charged Bowers for the late delivery as well as charges for the crew that had to come back to unload the items when they finally delivered.
Primos Express booked a load with us on 5/27/11. They were to make 2 drops. They forgot the first drop. When our dispatcher in our other location informed the dispatcher at Primos that our customer was unhappy and will be deducting money from us, which we in turn would be taking from them, Joe (Primos) informed him that they would not be delivering the load because we owed them for the other load. After some investigating we discovered they ARE affiliated.
Long story short. They held our load hostage to get the payment on the load that they delivered late under the name of Trans Texas as well as the payment up front in full for the load they (as Primos Express) were hauling. So far we are out a total of 1538.00 because of this truck company.
I wanted to call the authorities and have them arrested for this, but the manager in charge wanted them to deliver the load. They demanded that we pay them by comcheck.
