I'm currently starting a box truck company in the process of getting truck and commercial insurance in the good ol golden state of California.
Ive found 2 dispatchers that work with box trucks out of cali and the ones in California dont have enough work to keep me moving or maybe 2 - 3 runs a week and there not payed well because expedited box trucks are out biding each other and hardly are making any money unless they get contracted routes
So ive done the most and said im going to operate in the 12 western states get the driving experience learn and see what to expect i eventually want to get more trucks and move onto semi trucks and focus on growing the business, ive noticed everyone is selling the information out here for dollars lol
In the beginning i wanted to start with 3 semis and trailers lease them and hire teams i was looking to get mentored but the fellow saw my potential in the beginning and said that he was going to charge me 3k dollars a month for 5 months haha i laughed so hard back to my house ive worked my ### off and saved $$$$ im not about to hand any handouts like that i saw his eyes light up like the 4th of july and its crazy because he told me that i could not get us dot and mc# because i was on a work permit so he offered to put everything on his name again i cried so hard from laughing that i had a cramp on my side for 3 days. So after i got my authority and got my ca# and epn and all paper work by reading and searching online he blocked me lol
Im currently needing my insurance to file my mcp # and truck
I was going to finance but financing companies will not take a chance because my work permit renews every 2 years so its a high risk factor for them lol so im going cash route.
My apologies for the elongated story but everyone out here is trying to get folks ooohh sir no not me.

So if anyone can share anything about dispatchers for box trucks expedited shippers ill remember you when my company goes nation wide

Just go buy Doge coin or something, you will make more money vs what you are planning to do right now.
There is a million people just like you wanting to drive a box truck without cdl.

Here is what you needed to do.

1# gotten numbers and ran yourself for a year to build up reputation.

2# then hire someone to take your place and see if you can run him.

    3# gotten second truck.

All this having dispatchers doing the work you need to be doing is basically setting yourself up for failure.

Oh and I second @DUNE-T, your better off in the stock market.
