Man, that could have gotten bad for the both of them. But, I am glad both made it out, and are doing just fine.

    • Didn't know his son had saved him.
    • Knew he couldn't swim and wandered out into the water anyway.
:biggrin_25517: A perfect example of too dumb to breed.:biggrin_25517:

A co-worker I use to work with died of drowning some yrs back.. He was out on 5 mile pond with his young son fishing. Some how the canoe they were in flipped over, and they both ended up in the water.. He was able to get his son back on the boat, but he unfortunately had a heart attack and drowned.. Some on lookers on the beach were able to swim out and bring the son back to safety, but were unable to reach the father, as the pond was real dark under water, and they were unable to find him.. When the rescue squad came it took them almost 5 hrs just to find him.. Sad, that he was able to save his son, but not himself.. IMO as a rule everyone should be required to learn how to swim before entering the water, even the shallow end...
