As disorganized as many shippers are, they'd be lucky to be able to tell you what day a particular load was loaded. Forget about what time. And if they did, they'd need a pickup number to check. Good luck getting a pickup number from me, Mr. DOT.
Boy Oregon don't mess around !

Yeah,
That's the trouble with the Bible. -
I was thinking the same thing. I can't even get a shipper to answer the phone to tell me their hours of operation.archangelic peon and MrEd Thank this.

"May" be entered by flagging AND writing the time. The alternative is to show time in the graph.
I prefer "shall issue" over "may issue" for CCW permit laws. I'm also glad the Constitution says "shall not" instead of "may not" when it places limits upon the government, as it takes away the choice. -
They still do their DOT enforcement like it's 30 or 40 years ago where every other guy is running 3 logbooks and trying to put one over on them. Waste of time waste of taxpayer money. And why they insist on collecting their road taxes the way they do instead of just taxing the fuel is another head scratcher. Under those circumstances they should have the cheapest fuel in the country but no, not even close. They get you coming and going.

I'd make that California and Oregon. Washington is really not any big deal by comparison
-
That's because now, thanks to the new laws, there's money in it for them.

They company I'm with now doesn't want the fuel receipts either. I fuel at the two most northern truckstops in utah. NOT the flying j. They're 30 cents cheaper then the majors along my route.bzinger Thanks this.

Unless you are a high mount auto hauler.

Most shippers keep a log or of when a truck came and went. With a security officer at the gate this goes doubly so. This log is often need to maintain contractual obligations. No one needs to show up in court to prove a false log, a faxed copy of the shippers/consigness log is enough evidence to prove a false log for a driver.
All states can do this kind of crap. OR just takes it the extra mile and just asks for the crap that needed to prove a false log. I have met DOT officers that brag about doing the same thing here in WA. If you get into a serious accident, it is the same thing you can expect the investigating officer will do to you and your company.
