That's good to hear. Id say I'd train u but I'm outta work at least until next Tuesday. Pulled like every muscle in my back. But I'm sure Ron will get someone good for ya. And always remember this, ur first six months will b the hardest here at Boyd. Due to ur dispatcher seeing what ur made of. Just do it rite n do it safe n u can make money. Just keep ur head up bout it. Most new guys get discouraged cause they expect to make so much money outta school. U got any problems there is always someone u can call. If that don't work hit me up on here n ill b happy to help u out.

About the idle time, most of the trucks now have either the diesel APU or battery powered apu...Im thinking almost all of the new hires, atleast the ones with experience are getting trucks with APU's...if you dont get one, it wont be long before you do....hometime, should be atleast 24 hours off every weekend...but obviously you have been driving long enough to know that it could be more or less....most all of the fleet goes home every week that they want to...Im sure some one will argue this...but I said it anyway..lol

My first week out on the road was a breath of fresh air, finally getting a real test...............driving hundreds of miles and dealing with experiences that i couldnt have learned in a school.

Thanks for the responses!Ive got a good trainer he keeps care of his truck inside and out. This truck is a 2011 Prostar ,one of the new trucks in boyds fleet, they told me they are in the process of switching over to these. Its very comfortable to me,its shifts easy but i still need work on my shifting and timing.

    MD STEELERS FAN Thanks this.
