brake adjustment???

    rockee, not all. The bigger companies frown on company drivers turning any kind of wrench. Anytime I tell dispatch I'll fix it, it's no no no, take it to a shop.

    Little stuff I just do and don't ask.

    I thought that if they were automatic adjusters you could not touch them, but back up and hit the brakes like on a car with drums.

    Had something to do with destroying the gear inside if you tried to turn them.

    Correct,

    if they are out of adjustment, then the self adjuster needs replacing !!

    The brakes may be dragging after the quarter turn. Tap the drum with a hammer. It should ring like a bell.
