Question on brake system.
When my air tanks fill. I turn of my truck then turn the key to the on position wait for the lights to clear, then I hold down my brake pedal. While holding down I hear a quick air release six different times from what appears to be the brake chambers/slack adjusters. What is that performing? Someone told me it's adjusting my brakes. Is this true?

Abs testing itself
At key on if you have foot on the brake it will do that. If foot isn't on the brake it should just click, no air soundGod prefers Diesels Thanks this. -
Class A Air Brake Test | CDL Test Truck
Hold the brake pedal to the floor for 1 minute, see if the air pressure drops or if you can hear any leak. Then pump the brakes until the air pressure drops and the warnings lights come on,keep going until the brake valves pop out.
It will adjust the brakes if everything is working correctly with automatic slack adjusters.wis bang Thanks this. -
