Does anyone know of a place in Michigan that turns brake drums? Drums are starting to get scarce and I have been asked about it. The local place that I knew that did it hasn't in 20 plus years. I'm in between Saginaw and Flint Michigan.

Better check the I.D. before wasting money doing it.

I don’t know of anyone relining heavy truck drums but it has been done for cars for many years.

maybe worth giving these guys a call and see if they may know anyone in the biz. They do great work on the Pontiac 8 lugs.

Truck brake drums do not resurface well at all. Hard spots in the braking surface make it near impossible unlike a car rotor or drum.

    TRP- Bay City?

I would rather resurface an OE drum or rotor than install 1/2 the cheap Chinese crap at the DIY auto parts stores.

Problem is labor is so expensive it’s not cost effective.

I did a set of drums and rotors once many years ago. Haven't seen a brake lathe since. Haven't even come across a place that does it.

TRP Bay city has 0 -zero drums, they have 2 between all stores and those are in Auburn Hills. A-1 has 0-zero drums. Michigan truck spring bought the last pallet from TRP. Diesel Truck doesn't have any to sell. The problem isn't what a person wants, but what might be coming later. Just as a informative note, TRP does have drums ordered and was told to expect those in August.
