FYI the Freightliner house brand drums are made by Webb. American made and balanced and pretty cheap, at least down here. I'm skeptical of any house brand Fleetpride parts. Freightliner actually has the best brake shoe pricing as well down here. Odd, I know. For $50 I can get a set of Bendix or Meritor brand shoes, or some Fleetpride/ truck pro brand shoes. No brainer there.

My drums were $85 and shoes $45 I didn't think that was too bad. That includes tax.

I don't know what they put on the steers when i had them put on that first year I owned the truck. And, I'd have to go back and dig thru receipts to see but i got approximately 450,000 miles out of that set. Which I thought was pretty good for somebody that does a lot of redlights, 2 lanes, local area, and shorthaul regional trucking. If these shoes don't last then I'll know I made a mistake. I have a friend, leased to Landstar ironically, that gets most of his truck parts from Neely/Coble in Nashville and gets good prices. MHC Nashville sucks IMO and is always overpriced but again another friend of mine gets good prices there. Pete is worthless. I have an account at Fleetpride they actually act interested in getting my business which is unusual in the parts business for whatever reason. My buddy that gets good prices at MHC on some things has the opposite opinion of Fleetpride. So maybe I screwed up or maybe not. Just have to wait and see...
