Just had a download done of my ECM, how do I know if I have a brakesaver file on it??

Sorry to revive this older thread but if I'm am thinking right you need to re-flash a diffrent file to get brake saver in ecm?

According to catepillar, the brakesaver file is worth approximately 50hp. The brakesaver itself is like a big torque converter. In a car or truck you control how much and how fast oil is moved through it (engine rpm) with the gas pedal. In a brakesaver, you control how much oil is moved through it by the handle on your steering column. It functions the same just backwards from a car or truck. Hope this helps paint a little clearer picture of how it functions.
