Brake Saver File??

Just had a download done of my ECM, how do I know if I have a brakesaver file on it??

Heres the specs for that code number. Although the flash file is different its because this is from an old reference the flash file you gave me will be the most recent for this same build. It is a brake saver program to answer your question

 

Sorry to revive this older thread but if I'm am thinking right you need to re-flash a diffrent file to get brake saver in ecm?

According to catepillar, the brakesaver file is worth approximately 50hp. The brakesaver itself is like a big torque converter. In a car or truck you control how much and how fast oil is moved through it (engine rpm) with the gas pedal. In a brakesaver, you control how much oil is moved through it by the handle on your steering column. It functions the same just backwards from a car or truck. Hope this helps paint a little clearer picture of how it functions.

 

The file you have in your ECM now is for a MXS or NXS C15 Acert engine. 550 Hp at 2100 RPM, with 1850 PT at 1200 RPM. It is the Heavy Haul file with a Personality Module code 52. This file is actually one of the better stock CAT files for the engine you have. The only way to get the engine to perform to better is with a modified version of this file.
