Brake Saver File??

I dynoed a NXS truck with both the 550 2300 rpm Brakesaver file and the 550 HH file with the exact same Fls and Fts and on that day and on that dyno there was no distiguishable difference.

As a 475 stock it did 439 rwhp ...... Changed mufflers, fuel pressure, filters and other small tidbits ....then it made 519rwhp .... Flashed to BS And HH files and it made high 560's low 570's. Dyno sheets say 564 and 568 but both touched 570 just was not captured by the recording process . Thanks for interest Robby

 

A MXS we dyno'd came in a few hp shy of 600 with the HH file and some tricks, i believe maybe the only diff maybe the fls, fts numbers we used

 

Are either of you guys willing to share the fls fts combos that you used? It's hard when ya don't have easy acess to a Dyno ��

 

Sorry missed the question, 74, -19...Have used other numbers and made more...but those numbers seem to work well on the road and I was just testing file to file. Fwiw I also used a 6nz brakesaver file on the same truck with a Harness I made and it made the same 564 rwhp. Pdi Stage 1 made 644 RWhp and file alot of us use made 668 Rwhp.

Pretty cool that you were able to better the pdi stage 1 suposidly (modafied file) by 24 hp , with your (im guessing) standard cat file and a few other trade secrets

oh i forgot about the harness 6nz bit.
Im guessing you just got the injector wires around the right way and a few sensors ect with your harness,
did you run the truck like that at all and check fuel economy? what about the vva just backed off ? and timing sensor that worked ?

I bet there are some yellow blooded die hard cat employees loosing alot of sleep reading these threads lol

Hello my first time on with question to c-15 experts have MKS72425 engine rated at 625hp. Looking to see if can get help to get better horsepower and mileage. current personality module part number is 3298557-00 release date is Jul 08 personality module code is 6 FLS 74 FTS-19 fuel pressure at 92psi at 1200 stock turbos Would appreciate some help on next steps to take
