Don't like that. It seems like last time I used it some lady had 3 kids crying at home. And it seems they sucker you buy making you pay extra to the repair service.
Example I lost the front diff in Phoenix a few years ago teeth were half broke. Truck down got me a tow. When I talked to the tow guy we figured truck down was charging double of the tow guy fee.
WTF! Side not the tow truck was an old Pete 359 with a sweet sounding big cam that liked to scream.
I may have been some other dispatch service I'm not for certain.

When in an area I am not familiar with, I use the truck repair feature on my Garmin GPS.

It can narrow it down to mobile repairs, tires, general repair, towing etc etc. It has thousands and thousands of business across the nation. Phone number, address and of course,.. GPS location. This way if I do need a mobile repair,.. I can find the one closest to my location.

T/A sent a guy out. He played with a laptop for an hour and decided it was a bad thermostat. $244 for the road call.

What's your take on it? I got a fleet of drivers, based in Canada but operating within North America. Need some support with reefers breaking down. Is truckdown a decent start?
