Do yourself a favor and get a 550 ft/lb torque stick and a 33mm if you are going to make a habit of doing this, but I did 8 trailer tires with a Milwaukee half inch and a 3/4” 33 stepped down to the 1/2.

    assuming you don’t have a 2 nut ball/socket set up and mean 1 1/2”…

A drop (doesn't take much) of motor oil on clean threads is the way. And a proper torque. If you're hammering tight with the impact you're over torqued already. I always ran them up by hand to seat then bumped the impact on them a half second burst. Then a half a crank with the torque wrench to 475 ft lbs. Never had any trouble taking them off. Half inch Milwaukee will get it done.

How are the torque sticks compared to a torque wrench?

I always use my 1/2" air impact and send it until it stops. Gets them to the point all you need is an eighth to a quarter turn with the torque wrench.

Completely worthless if using with a cordless impact. Only use them on a pneumatic.

Guess I should have worded that a little bit better but you have air at all times, electric will do it though. Quick connect off one of the tanks and you can run any air tools as well as inflate tires

Well the Dewalt 20v battery was not charged. Took all but one off quickly. Last one 5 seconds nothing. So flipped to tighten, 3 seconds, then to loosen.off it came. 1 bar on battery. I charged before tightening after repair.

My Ingersoll-Rand 1/2” has 4 torque settings. For car or pickup lugs level 2 is fine. Run it until it stops. Never had problem that way.
