I own my own trucks and trailers. I am thinking of leasing on to Bridger. I'm under the assumption that they pay you back 50% of your fuel at the end of the month. Also, what is the average weekly / monthly gross on a truck in the midland area?
Run away from Bridger. ... had 2 good friends who gave them the benefit of the doubt. . Once u are singed up they screw you 10 ways to friday...
Bridger cannot keep up with what they have. As ^^^^^^^^^stated, they lure you in and then you find out everything is rotting on the inside. My my friends are getting 2 loads a day now. Bridger is getting their NOMS (nominatied bbls per station) cut back 5-6k a day constantly. OXY has recently had to step back in and take a personal amount of time to see what the heck is going on since they sold off their trucks to Bridger and contracted their oil last June. Bridger doesnt pay company employees for orentation or training. I'm talking $0.00 folks. What at training you do get in the field is 1-2 days, asking for trouble in my opion and therefore supervisors have no reason to ask "what happened?" when the accident/spill goes down. In my opinion, this is just the west Texas region mind you, they are worth staying FAR away from my fellow drivers. Any company that has a recruitor automatically has a person on their pay roll to lie for them.
Thats what ive heard, everytime i drive by their stations that red light is flashing, centurion will kick them out , sooner or later
I spoke with a Bridger guy at a lease last weekend and he loves it. He says as long as you act like you are still working as a company driver, working a set schedule, not taking weekends off (which hurts everyone in the long run as oil companies can't count on them to haul on weekends) and don't take too many vacations, you can make a killing. This was a Houston guy and told me in West TX they are busy as heck. I also read earlier in this thread they lost their Shell contract, which is not true here in Houston. I load and unload with them everyday at Shell facilities. Not sure if that contract varies by region. Anyway, from all the Bridger guys I've spoken with they all seem relatively happy. I'm looking into them regardless.
ok so I spoke to a buddy who went to bridger blind as a bat. Its been over six months for him and he is just now starting to make money. THe thing is as he told me is obviously going in blind your not gonna reap any benefits..In fact they are just going to take advantage of you. Rule #1: Regardless of what they say at orientation make sure the truck you get is brand new. If its used or hardly was used dont agree to this. Too many things could have happened with whomever had it before. If they say no or cant walk away. Don't worry they will call you back. Rule#2: Assuming they have given you a brand new truck and you are still in the game, make sure you tell them when sitting down to sign the contract that you get a dedicated run. This way you know where you are going and where you will be dropping off. And with this way you start making money right away. Any dumb sap is gonna take what they give you, and while theres work and they give you 3 loads a day; you will be having trouble finding them and not making any money. Do this and right away you will see what people have been making at their 6 month on your second... Any questions??
Do you work 5/14 hr days or 6 10-12 hr. days, also do you get your choice of working days or nights and what days you want off? Thanks
